Learning From David

"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." Psalm 27:13

In the Word, we are told that David was a man “after God’s own heart.” Yet, the verse above is just one example of David’s writing about having feelings of despair or “losing heart.” I find comfort in this fact. When I have experienced feelings of hopelessness, it is clinging to the promises of our Lord that has kept me from going down the path to suicide again. Looking for and seeing the hand of God moving in my life has built a confidence in His faithfulness to keep His Word. I encourage you to look for the hand of God moving in your life today and begin to build a trust in Him that will keep you from losing heart due to your circumstances.
